To apply you must be a student who is...
-
enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program pertaining to education (e.g, early childhood, elementary or middle/secondary education and all content areas). Students who are pursuing a major or minor in other programs (e.g., school counseling, speech pathology, international relations) will be considered. All participants will be spend mornings in a school, observing and teaching.

To participate in the program in Italy, you must...
-
complete and submit the online application found at: https://studyabroad.ku.edu/education-majors-cross-cultural-experience-carpi-italy on or before Friday, October 27, 2023.

participate in an informal interview (face-to face, phone, or Zoom) that last approximately 20 minutes.

complete an application to the Victoria Language and Culture (the organization that matches participants with host families and arranges school placements) after you are accepted into the program. More information is provided at the 1st planning meeting.

attend 3 - 4 planning meetings (face to face t KU and face-to-face or Zoom with Mizzou, Rockhurst and participants from other universities).

complete ~8 short online modules related to living, teaching, and traveling abroad, and completing short assignments to prepare for the program.
